If I do 200 ab crunches a day, when should I see the results?

I started a week ago. I also do an 50 min to 1 hour on the elliptical trainer at level 7. And have been doing the elliptical for quite some time now 5 months. I have seen toning for the elliptical, but my stomach is an issue.
Answer:
For women, you should not eat less (counting what you expend while working out) 1200 calories a day. 1500 if you are working out. You are putting your body in a starvation mode. That is why you are not seeing results with a loss of fat. I bet if you up your diet to at least 1500 calories, you will see better results and actually feel better. When you have your body in starvation mode, your body holds onto fat. Also, you shouldn't do abs everyday. You need at least 24 hours between muscle groups. You are breaking down the muscle when you work out, but not allowing time for it to heal. *Crunches build the muscle, but cardio burns the fat so you can see the muscle. Good Luck and EAT MORE (healthy food though)
Is your diet in check? Fat loss is mainly a product of diet.
usually somewhere after two to three weeks
You can do abs until your blue in the face. What works for abs is diet, make sure you are eating healthy. As far as ab exercises go make sure you are doing your crunches correct. Many people just do crunches with out making sure that they are doing them right. Also with abs trying exercises like yoga, and pilates are very effective.I included a link that focuses on abs and what ab exercises are the best!http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/fitness/c...
Give it another week or so.
seems excessive! try beachbody.com
they have wonderful tummy tapes, they help you with the pooch, but not kill you or your back on the same muscles over and over.Remember too, you'll build muscles bigger by over using them!
I read that to have 6-pack abs, you have to have 8% body fat or less.
Instead, try a plan that really works and you can see immediate results: ISAGENIX! It has some great weight loss products that also work with the elastic in your body and have seen some amazing results! I am 55 and feel absolutely great! contact me or go to www.nomorelovehandles.isagenix...
1000cal is not enough for anybody - body needs 50cal/hour just to survive (like when you are in coma) so thats 1200cal/day.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
its not only about ab crunches per se... combinations of good diet and weights/cardio training is crutial. diet is as important as the training in the gym, and weights are not less mortant that purely ab crunches/cardio... talk to any personal trainer, or google for more info...
It all depends on how your body responds to working out, not to mention your diet plays a big role as well. But it's not quantity, it's quality. Try doing less and holding the sit up for a second or two. You want to work your musck=le to the point of failure but in the mose effective and eficient way.
Good Luck
