I would like to know if doing exercise is beneficial before bed time?

I have taken up drinking alot of water, power walking and sit ups during day time hours... would addittional exercise before bedtime be worth my while?
Answer:
too much excercise right before you go to bed is a major no-no in the world of sleep. (I'm a sleep tech). Don't excercise too much or you'll stimulate yourself. The best thing to do if you want to excercise before bed is do some stretching and breathing which will relax you and keep your muscles loose for the next days' workout.
no .. i would exercise at least an hour before you go to bed. otherwise its hard to fall asleep.
it will make you sleep longer..But i dont see how its unbeneficial
Working out at night is just as good for you as doing it during the day but when you do it at night it may keep you awake.
yoga and meditation?
you want to cool down and relax before bedtime right?
Most people I'm acquainted with have said that exercising at bedtime keeps them awake--sleep is part of a healthy lifestyle.
Exercising before sleep increases your metabolism, it also makes it more difficult to sleep. You should exercise 3-4 hours before bedtime.
