This includes me being on a diet.
Answer:
Every oen is diffferent so it is hard to say. However, you should start noticing at least some results pretty quickly.
you hav to do a lot more than just crunches, u hav to work every part of your body equally, and dont diet, eat proper healthy food.
Most people who look like Mister Universe take something, from simple protein shakes to muscle enhancing drugs. A buffed up body doesn't mean you get more girls or you are healthier, if that is your motivation. I was in a gym beside a guy on a stationary bike, who huffed and puffed like a steam engine, He was build like poster boy for muscle magazines. When he looked over and saw the extreme high level I was bicycling on, without breaking a sweat, he couldn't believe it and I was his grandfather's age and half his weight, with both of us around 6'4".
Try to get to a comfortable weight and exercise regular. If you want a great body, join some guys, who are experienced in it, a club or so.
Don't forget the cardio. It will burn fat and give your new muscles definition.
crunches and push ups wont make you lose weight - you will actually gain weight because you will have more muscle, they dont burn any fat. the only exercise that burns fat is cardio 4-6 times a week for 30-50min
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

If i do 200 crunches and 50 sit ups a day how many calories would i be burning off?
Answer:
well crunches and situps are muscle building, so it doesnt burn off as many calories to lose weight.
best exercises for burning calories r walking, jogging, jump roping, etc.
if ur already thin or watever though crunches r good.
but ud be burning around 100 calories doing that.hope i helped=]
http://www.foodanddiet.com/newfiles/calo...This page gives an idea of how many calories are burned with various activities. Situps is ranked at 400-I think for a half hour of them. The chart will show it if you scroll down on the above link.Good luck,
Dwight
Well that's hard to answer, especially since I don't know your hieght, age, or, more importantly, weight. I generally go by this rule: If you are working very hard (sweating, out of breath), then every 1 minute of exercise is approximatley 10 calories burnt. So, time yourself. It probably takes about 10 minutes, so around 100 calories.
If I do 200 ab crunches a day, when should I see the results?
I started a week ago. I also do an 50 min to 1 hour on the elliptical trainer at level 7. And have been doing the elliptical for quite some time now 5 months. I have seen toning for the elliptical, but my stomach is an issue.
Answer:
For women, you should not eat less (counting what you expend while working out) 1200 calories a day. 1500 if you are working out. You are putting your body in a starvation mode. That is why you are not seeing results with a loss of fat. I bet if you up your diet to at least 1500 calories, you will see better results and actually feel better. When you have your body in starvation mode, your body holds onto fat. Also, you shouldn't do abs everyday. You need at least 24 hours between muscle groups. You are breaking down the muscle when you work out, but not allowing time for it to heal. *Crunches build the muscle, but cardio burns the fat so you can see the muscle. Good Luck and EAT MORE (healthy food though)
Is your diet in check? Fat loss is mainly a product of diet.
usually somewhere after two to three weeks
You can do abs until your blue in the face. What works for abs is diet, make sure you are eating healthy. As far as ab exercises go make sure you are doing your crunches correct. Many people just do crunches with out making sure that they are doing them right. Also with abs trying exercises like yoga, and pilates are very effective.I included a link that focuses on abs and what ab exercises are the best!http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/fitness/c...
Give it another week or so.
seems excessive! try beachbody.com
they have wonderful tummy tapes, they help you with the pooch, but not kill you or your back on the same muscles over and over.Remember too, you'll build muscles bigger by over using them!
I read that to have 6-pack abs, you have to have 8% body fat or less.

1000cal is not enough for anybody - body needs 50cal/hour just to survive (like when you are in coma) so thats 1200cal/day.

its not only about ab crunches per se... combinations of good diet and weights/cardio training is crutial. diet is as important as the training in the gym, and weights are not less mortant that purely ab crunches/cardio... talk to any personal trainer, or google for more info...
It all depends on how your body responds to working out, not to mention your diet plays a big role as well. But it's not quantity, it's quality. Try doing less and holding the sit up for a second or two. You want to work your musck=le to the point of failure but in the mose effective and eficient way.
Good Luck

If i diet over the summer...?
ok say that i: eat three times a day, vegetables and fruits and 8 glasses of water, and excercise 2-3 hours a day, NO JUNK FOOD! (maybe a little now and then) and if i do this continuously over the whole summer, how many pounds do u think i will loose?
Answer:
err, yes... if you don't CHEAT, u'll loose at least 50 lbs.. no snacks between meals.. just eat right,..and make sure u don't starve urself, coz u'll crave for some snack and ruin your diet. do it slowly, take out aanything unhealthy once a week, like chocolate.if ur the kind of person who loves chocolate, u can maybe go for 1 chocolate a day, then next week do , 3 pieces a week (small ones), or like 1 bar/week. same with soda. you'll stop eating them before u know it. with me dieting, --i became a lacto vegetarian/pescetarian..(no meat or egg, except seafood meat once in a month)..and lost my sweet tooth over chocolates by just eating apples and pears if i'm craving for some. i love to bake, so i looked for fat substitutes.*(instead of using eggs, i use banana puree, or applesauce)*.. and for junkfoods, i replaced them with those new Quaker Oatmeal snacks, but its not an excuse for eating a whole bunch of it..remember, *eat in moderation*... when eating out, i wouldnt recommend going to a buffet, coz even tho, all you're grabbing are vegetables, ur still not eating for yourself, its a buffet u'll be tempted to go back to the ar and get another plate, and u'll end up eating for 2.in restaurants, meals are usually a serving for two, they say its for one, but its just too much..what u could do is ask for a "to go" box and keep half of it, and take it home or just share it with your friend...and for dinner, i dont eat anything past 6... i eat around 4 pm, and i usually have guard practice after that, so calories are being used up, kinda hard at first but i got used to it.. well i hoped that was helpful to u..^_^
well, you surely will lose weight but you can't keep your self from junk food too long, you will get junk food sick.Really.. makeby have fries a while even if i wanna lose weight, i will still hav a burgur once awhile. so maybe salad with fries..not everyday but maybe once a month. GOOD luck ...if you think this is the best answers please choose me! :o)
you could probably loose up to 30-50 lbs
depends on how much you weigh
Well u will of course loose some weight but you know how u said junk food once in a while i wounded do that because when u start to eat junk food u cant stop. like chips and pop. when you have sugar and salt you just want more and more. I went on a diet over the summer and lost more than i wanted. with out eating junk and i felt good. and after you loose the weight don't think that nothing ill happen if you keep eating and eating junk food that happened to my sister she gained it all back. take my advice i know what I'm talking about.
How much do you have to lose, how much are you overweight? This makes a difference. If you have 30 lbs to lose, you could lose it over the summer.

If i diet how long does it take to loose weight?
what i am asking is
if i diet how long will i take for my body to change for example if i start a diet today how long to i have to doit to see a change
Answer:
Too long. {sigh} Nothing raises more false hope than the first 4 hours of a diet...The real answer is -- it depends. It depends on how big you are. If you are really big it might take several weeks before you can SEE a change. You might notice your clothes are felling looser, but no one else will notice. If you are already small and still want to get thinner, perhaps no one will ever really notice. YOU might feel fat, but others think you are fine and they probably won't notice -- unless you get TOO thin. The best, safest way to lose weight is slowly. Losing 1 or 2 pounds a week is best. It seems to take FOREVER, but honestly, before you know it you will need a whole new wardrobe!Good luck.
deepends wat plans u have u cans see changes in 5-30 days good luck losing weight
Guys typically lose weight faster than women. The first week you should lose 4-5 lbs and then about 2 lbs a week after that. How much are you trying to lose? I've went on binge diets when I was an active team athlete and I used to be a sprinter in track, so I would load up on laxatives (bad idea) and diet pills (another bad idea) and lose A LOT way too fast. I was in such good shape that I could compensate for the quick, fast weight loss, but at the same time, someone else could be in a serious health jam if they do it. Just take your time and eat right, drink lots of water, stay away from junk foods, eat lots of fibers--wheat, salads, etc.--and exercise. You should see the loss in your face, first. It'll take 2-4 weeks to notice.

If i did 200...?
if i did 200 crunches a day how long would it take for me to get a 4 pak...i just have a regular stomach no abs but no flab. So how long do you think tht would take???
Answer:
I don't know but probably around a month. Don't look for instanteneous results though
probably like 1 month or something. It really depends on your diet and body.
2oo crunches will get them stronger, but unless you are doing something else, you will not see your 4 pack abs if you have a high body fat %. If you are a female, it's even harder because your body fat is higher than males. You need to burn off the fat layer covering the abdominal muscle in order to see them. You cannot burn this layer of fat by doing 200 crunches! Focus on cardio, a good strength program, and a good diet!

If i cut back all processed food will i lose weight fast? what defines processed food?
Answer:
Some people will use process to describe food that has been canned, dried, or cured to extend the freshness of the food.Others will include all of the above plus just about everything else you buy at the grocers. Such as meat that has been skinned and deboned. Or onions and other vegetable that have its roots and dead leaves removed.Processed or unprocessed food does not affect your ability to gain or lose weight. Its has more to do with calories intake and also the type of calories. Sugar and Carbohydrates will metabolized faster so that it is used immediately when you consume them. Protein and Fat takes longer to be matabolize by your body. The best way to lose weight as far as food is concert is to avoid as much fat and sugar as possible, and keep your calorie intake as low as you can without stressing out your body. Another words burn more calories than you intake calories.
